Why I chose to make this costume

Street Fighter 2 has always been one of my favourite video games. I still have my Sega Genesis so that we can bust it out and play it every once in awhile! I would say that my favourite character is Chun Li, but I would have a difficult time cosplaying her, so I went with one of my next favourites. I was also looking for something that would be easy to pack for our first trip to DragonCon!

How I made this costume

This was a relatively easy cosplay for me to pull together given my background in various martial arts. All that I really needed to do was to cut the sleeves from one of my old gis and fray the fabric with a wire brush. And get a red headband. The icing on this one was finding the official Hadoken plush made by Multiverse Studio Inc!

Thoughts on this costume

This is an easy but recognizable cosplay that I still break out from time-to-time. Sooner or later I expect it may fall by the wayside though.
